The music producer was picked up in Vegas for a crime he allegedly committed on September 5th with comedian Micah Williams.
Rapper and music producer Suge Knight may have dodged death when he was shot in a night club with Chris Brown but he couldn't escape the police , Wednesday, when arrested for allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer.
According to the Los Angeles district attorney, the 49-year-old rap mogul was picked up along side comdeian Micah “Katt” Williams, 43, and have been charged with robbery.
Both were however released on bail hours later. Knight's bail was set at a million dollars while Williams' was at $75,000.
Prosecutor Jackie Lacey
said the men allegedly took the camera from a celebrity photographer on
September 5 in Beverly Hills; Knight was arrested in Las Vegas and
Williams in Inglewood.
Knight, who founded and runs Black Kapital Records also cofounded Death Row Records along with hip-hop music king Dr. Dre in the early 1990s.
Death Row Records helped launch stars as Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur before it collapsed in 1996 when Knight was jailed for parole violations.
The
producer, who has a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon,
faces up to 30 years in jail if convicted while Williams could face
seven years behind bars.
