Following a presidential intervention by the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday, Stephen Keshi returned to the helms as Super Eagles Coach in time for the two remaining Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers

The 52 year-old already stormed into action with the invitation of 25 players for the do-or-die clashes in November against Red Devils of Congo and Bafana Bafana of South Africa
The new squad features home based debutant, Nasarawa United midfielder Tony Edjomari. amongst other home based players; Solomon Kwambe, Emem Eduok. Sunday Emmanuel and Hope Akpan and Aaron Samuel make a return to the team
Villareal striker Ike Uche makes a return to the team after a two year absence, the 'Much-respected'  player had been snubbed by the coach in the previous four AFCON qualifying games
Regulars like Vincent Enyeama, Godfrey Oboabona, Elderson Echiejile; midfielders Ogenyi Onazi and Mikel Obi, and forwards Ahmed Musa, Emmanuel Emenike and Babatunde Michael are also invited to meet up with the rest of the team at the Bolton White Apartments November 9.
