A 70-year-old HIV-positive man(names withheld) has been arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl in Barkin Ladi Local Government of Plateau State last Thursday. The suspect who is in police net is said to be infected with HIV and on anti-retroviral drugs. He was caught in the act by his landlord's son, who immediately
reported the matter to the police. The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Mr Chris Olakpe confirmed that the 70-year-old man is in police custody in Barkin Ladi, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl but he is to be transferred to the Jos headquarters.
