HIV positive Kenny Badmus comes out as gay on a Facebook post

Brand expert Kenny Badmus who took to his Facebook page to reveal he was HIV positive on Dec. 1st, this morning took to his wall again to reveal that he is. He wrote about how he got married and led a false life just to satisfy society and how he told his ex-wife before they got married that he's gay and how she didn't care hoping he would, with time, stop being gay.

He also talked about how she allegedly victimized him when he eventually got fed up and asked for a divorce 6 years after they got married and had a child together. Justice P.I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court, Benin, Edo State toady convicted and sentenced one Emmanuel Sunday (alias Umoh Sunday Iyang, Iyang Samuel Chukwudi) to seven and half years imprisonment without an option of fine for obtaining money under false pretense.

The convict was arraigned by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission, EFCC, on March 19, 2014 on an 8-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence. He pleaded not guilty to the count charge.

After diligent prosecution, Justice Ajoku found him guilty on the 5-count amended charge and sentenced him to thirty months imprisonment each of the counts. The court also ordered that the convict forfeit his two (2) phones to the Federal Government.

Pres. Jonathan Assures Investors of Stable Economy Despite Oil Price Instability

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday in Abuja reassured foreign investors and Nigerians that the economy would remain stable in spite of the slide in global oil prices.

Jonathan gave the assurance when he received a delegation of General Electric led by its Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, John Rice, at the Presidential Villa.

He assured his guests that the Federal Government would do everything possible to stabilise the economy, and urged the company to maintain its confidence in the country.

“We promise our people that even with the drop in oil prices, the economy will be stable. We have good professionals with global outreach.

“I urge you to maintain the confidence you have in this country before the oil price drop and even expect better management from us.

“Sometimes, it is when you are challenged that you do better than when everything looks good, sometimes you overlook things.

Heart breaking photos of Phil Hughes burial

Gregory Hughes pictured very emotional as he carried his son's coffin into his funeral on December 3rd. Phil Hughes died on November 27th two days after he was struck in the back of the neck by a ball during a cricket game in Sydney, Australia. He died just three days to his 26th birthday.

The funeral was attended by over 1,000 people including many national and sporting dignitaries as well as the Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbott. It was also broadcast live on Australian TV.

Information getting to us was that the father refused that the first son's corpse will not buried in his so so large compound, which made the direct siblings of Ifeanyi hijack his corpse pending when the father agrees the corpse be buried in his so so so large compound. We have all deserted the premises. Not even the presence of Chief Ekwueme, Peter Obi and Sen. Ngige and other prominent people could change Chief Jim Nwobodo's mind. It was terrible." Nigeria’s Situation is Redeemable says Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that the current economic and security situations in the country are redeemable.

Obasanjo made the observation this at his Hilltop home in Abeokuta on Thursday when five governors from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) paid him a visit.

He said that the country could still be salvaged if those involved had genuine concern for the wellbeing of the citizenry.

He said that his current posture was not to witch-hunt anyone but to find a lasting solution to the nation’s many challenges.
