14yr old Gia Soriano, victim of Washington school shooting dies in hospital

Beautiful 14 year old Gia Soriano died in hospital last night after she was taken off life support. Gia was one of the five people shot at close range by 15 year old Jaylen Fryberg at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington D.C before he turned the gun on himself on Friday October 24th. (read here). Her family released a statement saying;

"We are devastated by this senseless tragedy. Gia is our beautiful daughter, and words cannot express how much we will miss her."

The hospital where she died said her organs were donated for transplant. Among the five people Jaylen shot at were two of his cousins, 15 year old Andrew Fryberg and 14 year old Nathan Hatch. Jaylen is said to have targeted the group because a love interest didn’t chose him. RIP, Gia!

British-Egyptian born Yosra el-Essawy, the photographer who captured Beyonce’s The Mrs. Carter World Tour, and was behind some of Beyonce's iconic photos, has died. Yosra had been battling inoperable esophageal cancer for about a year. She lost her battle with it on Saturday Oct. 25th. She was just 33 years old.

Nigerian caught in India with heroin concealed in ladies shoes

A Nigerian man, Ozioma Kenneth Odeomenan has been arrested in New Delhi India with 330g of heroin worth $120,000 concealed in ladies shoes he was to export to America. 

 

According to India police report, Ozioma was arrested after an anonymous tip-off they got on the 14th of April that a Nigerian man carrying hard drugs was coming to the Janakpuri metro station. A team of police officers laid a trap and apprehended Ozioma, who was found with 330 grams of heroin cleverly concealed in the specially made cavities in the soles of women’s sandals.

First are the intense qualifying rounds where in each episode, 8 singers are judged by a jury of 100 music lovers and 1 music expert. The judges give points to the talents and the highest scoring contestants proceed to the next stage where they have the opportunity to walk away with instant cash prize or proceed to the final rounds.

THE FINAL ROUNDS

Finalists in each of the qualifying rounds face each other in intense duels where contestants are either eliminated, walk away with the available cash or proceed in the competition and stand a chance of winning the big prize.

GRAND FINALE

The final will feature the last 2 contestants in a duel that can win them the N10million naira and a brand new car. Both contestants will be offered the option of taking an available cash prize or wait for the jury’s result to reveal the winner of the big prize. A contestant’s decision to take the available cash means the other contestant is the winner of the big prize, both finalists may also take the available cash with no one winning the big cash prize. If none of the contestants takes the available cash, the jury result will reveal one of the contestants as the Winner.
