Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Nominated For Grammy Award With Beyonce

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, critically acclaimed Nigerian novelist and award-winning author of Americanah ​ has been nominated for a Grammy award for her feminist-inspired collaboration with American entertainer Beyonce, on her 2013 track “Flawless.”

Following her TEDx talk on why “We Should All Be Feminists,” Beyonce incorporated the writer’s essay into her single, which further brought more life to her craft.
Adichie, whose work has been translated into thirty languages, has also appeared in various publications, including The New Yorker, Granta, The O. Henry Prize Stories, the Financial Times, and Zoetrope.
Adichie​ has also received several awards and distinctions, including the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction in 2007 and a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship in 2008.
This nomination for “Album of the Year” with her fellow feminist is just yet another achievement for the writer.

The concert was fun filled as fans of Akin Ambode trooped out to support the man of the people and it was not a dull moment. Fans were trilled to a night of music, dance and gift winning. Lucky winners through lucky dip went away with ipads, play station consoles, standing fans and many more gift items.

Music acts such as Dammy Krane, Yemi Alade, Banky W, M.I, Ice Prince, Flavour, Pasuma and Olamide were on hand to thrill the fun loving fans.

The concert was anchored by Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, A.Y, Funke Akindele and Uti Nwachukwu.

Remember what Kanye West did to Taylor Swift back in 2009 when he stormed the stage, took the mic from the singer and said Beyonce deserved to win the category Taylor had just won? Well, he nearly did same last night at the 2015 Grammys. The rapper stormed the stage after a singer named Beck beat Beyonce to Best Album.

Beyonce lost the album of the year category to Beck's Morning Phase, all of a sudden, Kanye climbs up the stage, making everyone (including Jay Z and Bey) freak out about whether he was going to pull a "Kanye" again.He then had a change of heart and didn't speak.. you needed to see the priceless looks on Beyonce and Jay Z'...lol!
